There are home heating and repair services that have a fleet of trucks that are radio dispatched ready to go when the need arises day or night.

As an added incentive to help the American people move towards more energy efficient HVAC equipment, the Federal Tax Credit for their installation has been extending to the end of 2011. This is a double savings opportunity. Not only will your energy bills be reduced, but you receive a tax credit when you have a qualified high efficient HVAC unit installed on your home.

When choosing which of the many home repair service providers in the Washington DC, Virginia area, consider this. When a company has been in business for over 100 years and is still thriving, they must be doing their job correctly. To be in business that long, they must be keeping their clients happy with their service and prices. Now add on those businesses that have radio dispatched trucks that are strategically located throughout the area for faster response. With all of that, you have a dedicated work force that can meet the needs of the home owner when it comes to the HVAC and plumbing needs.

This describes less than a hand full of home heating and plumbing repair service providers in the area. To stay on top, these few can further be examined on their training schedule that will help give them the knowledge base they need to make all types of repairs, big and small, at your home to be completed in the most efficient manner.

This is what to look for and what you can expect when choosing a Washington DC plumbing heating service provider for your needs. Looking at their websites, podcasts and blogs can easily distinguish the better of these providers to fit your specific needs around your home.

Most modern homes have air conditioning and heating systems (HVAC) in place when they are designed and constructed. These systems are designed to do more than just keep the inhabitants of the building comfortable, they also provide a means of cleaning the air that is recirculating in it.

In the early days of HVAC systems, most only have a fiberglass filter near the air intake of the main unit. This has since been improved upon by utilizing HEPA filters in their place. This has helped to reduce the amount of dust and debris in the air recirculation system. The advantages of this better filtering system are not only cleaner air to breathe for the occupants of the building, but also less dust that will accumulate on all surfaces.

Since most HVAC systems have humidity control devices in them, there was also a need to address the mold spores and fungus that began to multiply in the duct work and air itself. There are two ways to address these contaminants. There are the UV light sterilizers and the ozone sterilizers. Both do good jobs at destroying molds and fungus. An additional benefit has been reported since testing on these systems started a few years back. This is the destruction of airborne viruses that cause illness in humans.

When comparing the different systems, do not be taken by the advertisement of a system that cleans the air by 99.97%. This is just the contribution of the HEPA filter alone. There are more to the process of cleaning the air in air conditioning and heating systems (HVAC), than just the filter alone.

The Plumbing and Electrical Services described here are those as mentioned in our last article about an Energy Management Plan for Washington, DC area residents.

When you are looking for one company that can handle all of your new work installations and every type of service imaginable for all of your HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs you must check out John C. Flood, Inc.

The Flood team does it all. With one call you can simplify all of your home maintenance needs in these areas. This century old company provides full sales and service departments to meet all of your homeowner’s needs.

You want to simplify your home maintenance process. That just makes good sense. There are some things in your plumbing system that you as a homeowner might not be aware of that should be periodically checked. The only way that you would know is if there are obvious leaks that are visible.

What about water pressure issues? Do you have older pipes and equipment that might have built up restrictions over time? The service technicians can inspect or install an expansion tank if needed or in some cases a pressure reducing valve might be called for.

Where electrical issues are concerned you will want to make sure your electrical panel is inspected from time to time as certain known issues have developed over the years with some makes and models that might need special attention more frequently.

Your home may be in an area that has wide ranging power fluctuations. In these areas a whole house surge suppressor should be installed. Rest assured that when a Flood technician is called in that your whole house plumbing and electrical system will be inspected for future trouble spots and potential problems will be corrected in advance of a break down situation.

Click on through to the John C. Flood, Inc website and schedule a service call or maintenance program right online.
